We haven't been this excited about a new bike since we rolled out the first Newsboy back in 1994. The new Camena is the first Merlin designed specifically with a woman's body in mind.
The Camena's geometry is centered on a shorter top tube that slopes, creating a smaller cockpit space for women, who ususally have shorter arms and a shorter upper body than men.
We have gone to great lengths to make sure that we dialed in the overall geometry to ensure the optimal performance of the bike. Unlike other companies, we have listened to our customers and have gone so far as to carefully select the perfect tube set based on average rider weights and stiffness needs. Finally, no detail was overlooked as witnessed by the comfortable carbon seatstays and the elegance of the engraved head tube. We truly hope women cyclists everywhere will share in our excitement for this bold step.
