Almost for Merlin Development Team Dorton, UK, July 24: Richard Hepworth of the Merlin Development Team narrowly missed winning the 2005 British Junior Road Championships on his Merlin Fortius. Hepworth rode a very good race, but at the end Adam Norris (Crest CC) proved to be too strong. Congratulations though to the whole Merlin Development Team for a fantastic season so far. Merlin Proteus on cover of Bicycling Magazine The editors of Bicycling were so smitten by the Proteus that they presented it on the cover of the magazine. Within the magazine the editors raved about the bike in the "Hot Bikes" section. The test bike was built with Campagnolo Record components, Record carbon cranks, Real Design ti stem, carbon seatpost and Signature HP fork, and the brand new 1365 gram Real Design Hyperfly (soon to be known as Ultrasphere) wheels. Proteus featured in the Jan/Feb issue of Bicycling Mag The January/February issue of Bicycling magazine has a feature about the 2005 Merlin Proteus. Editors of the magazine were seen in downtown Las Vegas with the bike as they readied themselves for the photo shoot. The bike was eventually shot inside a casino at a blackjack table with the heading: "You want to be totally money?" Back to home page
