owners, please tell me how your frames have held up over the years. Is a Mountain more durable than the XLM due to its thicker tubing or should that not be a concern?

: PETE! I hate to pour cold water on Your valid question but like what is a "ding" vs a dent? Your question is most difficult to answere properly because what you consider to be bullet-proof may not be what i would for example consider "a normal contusion". I don't imagine there is any material out there that can take running into trees in stride! Ti might dent under certain circumstances but she won't break! i know this is not an answere to your concern & am looking ahead to hearing from some other riders who may be able to shed a more positive answere to your question. Ride Safe! paul
