-Two Frame Geometries-
There are no geometric differences between the traditional and compact Works frames beyond the sloping top tubes. Compact virtual seat tube and top tube lengths match the actual seat tube and top tube lengths on the traditional Works frames. Seat and head angles, front and rear centers, frame drops, they all match as well. Now for the differences:

  1. Compact geometry - A compact framed bike has a lower the center of gravity and a marginally higher geometric efficiency of the top tube. That's it. The lower center of gravity is obvious when you stand up. It feels even lighter than it already is. It feels faster and it is more fun to ride. The feel of a Merlin, compact or not, is its best feature.
  2. Traditional geometry - Works frames give you the option to ride a full on Works bike with a more traditional look.
