What would you call a bike frame that weighs less than your water bottle?
We call it the Merlin Extralight. This bike was designed for raw, unequivocal, neck-snapping acceleration; you'll realize this with the first pedal stroke you make. Even the most daunting climbs mean nothing when you have the kind of power to weight ratio that this frame affords. The redesigned butted MTS downtube and the ultra-stiff 1" chainstays mean that the energy flows from your heart to the rear wheels with the greatest efficiency. It's almost like you merely think it into motion. With this kind of power transfer, the Extralight climbs like a rocket. We thought about calling it the Apollo 11 or the X-1, but those names were already taken.
