Tire width for RSR

posted by Michel Godin on april 15, 1998 at 09:56:26:

You own a Merlin RSR and you want to put new tires on
it. You must be careful. The chainstays are narrow near
the bottom bracket. A 23mm Specialized Turbo foldable inflated
at 125 psi.will not fit. The new Michelin Axial Series may be fine
if you stick with 20mm or 23mm tires. Don't put beefy 25mm tires.
The tire market as expanded this year with new design, colours
and new shapes so we must choose the right size and make tests before
cycling on the road.

Happy spring
