: Is anyone out there using the Look HSC All Carbon Fork? At 350 grams it seems like a worthy consideration if the handling is good and it won't fail on a wayward pot hole. Also, wondering about the pros and cons of titanium spokes if anyone has experience. Thanks for any replies!
I have ti spokes on my rear wheel. It's easy to biuld a wheel with them, no spoke prep (you use ti prep, a paste which prevents galling or cold welding, a corosion which bonds ti and other metals) They're light (save 100 grams in a 32 spoke wheel)
since you can make the wheel tighter it's MUCH more responsive. and more comfortable. Ti has more resiliance than steel so the wheel can give a little more then spring back into shape. P.S. get the ti-dye if you go for them, the colors are great!!!
