I am shopping for a set of wheels and I'm confused (I have a Merlin RSR w/ Campy Chorus 8 spd.). Most of the aftermarket wheels seem to be only Shimano compatible but, I am told, can be made Campy compatible w/ the use of spacers. Is this true and if so, do the spacers effect the quality of shifting? I am interested in the new Rolf wheels, in particular. Rolf tells me that they are coming out with Campy compatible wheels in the Spring...what is the point of this if the spacers really do address the compatibility issue? Any input would be appreciated.
