: Does anyone have info and opinion regarding the Merlin suspension frame that was made in limited quanities in 1993 and 1994? I am specificly looking for possible shock options better than the horrible elastomer unit originally supplied. Is metal fatigue and possible failure a real issue? Can Merlin repair a damaged frame especially the pivotless flexing chainstays? Any opinions good or bad would be appreciated. I tried to call Merlin repeatly but got no answer, lights on- nobody's home!
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A BIKE LIKE THAT FOR A WHILE. i HAVE A MERLIN BUT IT IS THE UNSUSPENDED VERSION. I ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO MANY NEW AND USED FULL SUSPENSION BIKES RATHER THAN THE SOFT SUSPENSION YOU ARE SPEAKING OF. tHE FRAME IS TI SO FATIGUE IS MINIMAL TO NONE. I WOULD LIKE TO BUY YOUR BIKE OR TRADE YOU A FULL SUSPENSION OR ANOTHER MERLIN FOR IT.
