Your original spindle is probably a Phil Wood. A shorter Phil Wood spindle can be substituted for your present spindle. I don't know the exact lengths available, but if you call me at 1-615-373-4700, I can check. Your local Merlin dealer should have the tools necessary to replace the old bearings and spindle. Expect a labor charge of $35 to $45, plus parts.
