I have a 55 cm Extralight with a Time carbon fork. I really love the bike and its great combination of performance and comfort.
However, the bottom bracket (1996 DuraAce, 8 spd) makes some very strange noises. Initially, a slight clicking sound can be heard
after installation. Eventually, this develops into a loud clunking. I have replaced the bottom bracket and had the newer bottom
bracket cleaned, re-greased, and reinstalled. The same "noise progression" has occurred each time. The crank and chain ring bolts
are snug. I read both other messages about plumbers tape. Any ideas?
