Hi, grade 4 or more commonly called CP4 is the purest form of titanium (around 99.6%) with a tensile stregth of approx. 60,000 psi, wereas 3-2.5 ti is almost twice as stong at approx 110,000 psi. In my opinion CP titanium should not be used any bicycle tubing, DROPOUTS, BRAKEPOSTS OR ANY STUCTURAL PIECE. WATCHOUT FOR PEOPLE WHO DO THIS (mainly the Tiawanese and Russian frames) Those pieces will be the first to break. affordable 3-2.5 ti frames can be found!
