: : I ride a Merlin Newsboy and use a XTR seatpost of the
: : correct size. However much force I tighten the
: : seatpost bolt, my sadlle-seatpost still manages to
: : twist after a hard ride. Any ideas how I can fix this
: : problem?

: As with all seatpost sizing issues, the first step is to determine that the post you have is the correct size -- labels can be misleading.
: We recommend that you use a good micrometer (your bike shop should have one if you do not) to measure the exact diameter of the seatpost. If the post is undersize, try another post that fits. If the post you are having trouble with does measure 27.2 mm with a micrometer, do not over-tighten the seatpost binder bolt, instead, contact Matt O'Keefe at Merlin (PH:617.661.6688) and he will fix you up right away.

Thanks for your help. I was wondering if Matt O'Keefe can be contacted via internet as I am in Singapore.
