I'm considering buying a titanium road bike. I've narrowed my choices down to Merlin (Spectrum) and Moots. Can anyone help me to narrow it down further? I realize this is mostly a pro-Merlin forum, which is OK. However, there is very little in the magazines to help one decide and I'm frankly tired of reading bike brochures and catalogs which I don't feel provide enough objective information. I know Moots doesn't make a bike with butted tubing. Otherwise, the geometry of the size I'm looking at is very similar for both companies. One dealer on the web raves about the alignment, frame prep, and frame facing that he sees on the Moots bikes that he takes in delivery. I can't help thinking it'll probably come down to which company has the best "customer service" and factors unrelated to ride quality itself. I'd be grateful for any information that would help me make a decision. Thanks.
