I am set to buy a Merlin Extralight or Road bike in the very near future (in 2 days) and I am having a hard time deciding which model to get. Some of my concerns are that the Extralight will be too rigid or that the Road model will be too flexible. Also I will riding on some rough paved roads (cobble stone, etc) and want to get the model that offers the most comfort.
I have opted to go with Dura-Ace components and probably Mavic Classic Pro wheels or maybe Heliums. I intend on doing half centuries/centuries on a weekly basis with some shorter rides as well. I would be interested in advice and recommendations from experienced cyclists. Also, is Titanium worht the rather steep price tag that it carries? Thanks, Phil
