I have got a SID on my Merlin Mountain since half an Year. Before I bought the SID, I owned a Judy SL. In my opinon the SID is a great suspension Fork, if it is adjusted correctly, it performs very well. The steering of this fork is a dream, because of his lightweight and it's stiffness, which is comparable to the Judy SL. I have got Shock Boots on my SID and I can say that it does not need much maintainence. If I am honest, since this time I have done no maintainence on my SID, although I ride often and only on the trails and not on the road. But one think is to say, you have to ride about 250 miles with the SID before it gets its high performance. But if you have done this, riding with the SID is a pleasure.
Happy trails,
T.R.
