Or do they squeak? : : : : I've seen your posts before on here and it seems like you know your bikes inside and out, but some of the problems might be: : : : : 1.) The brakepads aren't toed in. You want the front of the brake pad to hit the rim first... but it should be just a slight difference. On road bikes it's more difficult to do because you might actually have to bend the brake caliper slightly. Be careful if you do this. : : : : 2.) If you're using too much cable housing, or if it still hasn't quite settled in inside the shifter then the brakes might feel weak. : : : : 3.) The new brake pads might need time to settle in. If you clean your rim off from any residue from old pads it might help. : : : : 4.)
