Man I love my XLM. I've had it for a year now and think it's a great bike. I did, however, buy into my saleman's hype that buying a smaller frame makes the bike manuverable. But in order to have the proper cockpit, I had to add a 150mm stem. As a result, it's fine on straight trails, but handles like a bus on twisty singletrack.
I called Merlin today and John (?) said it would cost $1200 to retrofit a 20" front end on to my frame. Yikes!
I guess I have a few options: 1. Trade for a 20" XLM 2. Have Merlin mod. it. 3. Sell the frame and buy either a XLM, Mountain or just go with a custom made Sola or S8.

I'd prefer to trade, but am weary of dealing with bad folks. I'm not sure how to trade with out of state folks (I'm in Albuquerque, NM) in the first place. I'll probably end up buying a Seven, who knows?

What's the going rate for XLMs. Bummed out in Albuquerque.
