Dear Merlin Crew, I think about installing disc brakes on my Merlin Mountain frame! Because of having no disc brake mounts on the frame, I decide to try the Hope Disk Brake Universal Kit. Is this a possible solution for my problem or will it damage the frame, especially the cantilever boss, where the disc brake is fixed on. Will this cantilever boss or the rest of the frame withstand the forces of the disc brake? Please Merlin, if you develop disc brake mounts for the bikes, think of the older Merlin frames and offer the possibility to install these disc brake mounts on older frames?
