Am I wrong or not about the seat stays of the Odyssey? I'd read from the Merlin's dealer brochure that the seat stays are made from 3-2.5 Ti alloy instead of G4 that was used for the RSR.
Now for Jim, I own an Odyssey and I have 1000 Km on it. I like the ride and I like the overall feeling of it. It's a comfortable on hard roads, climb well and as other Merlin's is very stable. I had the chance to compare it with the Road model and I found the Road a little bit stiffer than the Odyssey and more lighter. The tubing is smaller. Is weight important for you?
But for us, consumer and would-be athletes, the tricky part is to compare an entry level bike with the top of the line. What model can you afford?
Wish you a podium.
